Successfully in the past 30 years, CBIE has managed over 100 programs which are valued approximately as 2 billion dollars.

Eligibility Criteria for CHED-CBIE Scholarship in Canada:

The Filipino students who want to apply for the CHED-CBIE scholarship to study in Canada must have the following in order to be eligible for the scholarship

  • Applicants must be Filipino citizens
  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree relevant to the PhD degree they are applying for
  • Applicants must have an outstanding academic record
  • Applicants must be in good health and shall bear a good moral character
  • Applicants must have no criminal charges or should not have been convicted in any law breaking case in Philippines
  • Applicants must fulfill all the Terms and Conditions of the grant, including a return service obligation to Philippines

Application Procedure for CHED-CBIE Scholarship:

To apply for CHED-CBIE scholarship in Canada, you must have the following documents

  • CHED Application Form
  • Transcript of Records
  • Statement of Intended PhD Research in Canada
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Statement of Purpose
  • One Letter of Endorsement
  • Re-entry Action Plan

Upon submission of the following documents, you will be given a link email through which you will be able to access the online application form. After the submission of that you will be notified of the receipt and status of your application to the CBIE-CHED Scholarship for Graduates Studies in Canada.

Selection Process for the CHED-CBIE Scholarship:

After the submission process, the applicants which are selected will be notified of their selection by email and will be required to the following documents

  • Original Undergraduate or Master’s transcript and completion certificate of the applicant
  • Minimum two letters of recommendation
  • A copy of the passport clearly showing name, date of birth, number of the applicant
  • Completed and signed CBIE “Consent to release Academic Information” form
  • Letter of support by current supervisor (PhD only)
  • Pre-approved work plan for studies (PhD only)

Deadline to apply for CHED-CBIE Scholarship:

The students and staff interested are encouraged to apply for the CHED-CBIE scholarship as soon as possible. The selection of applications would be on a rolling basis.
